Managing the 4th Quarter

The game is winding down and -suddenly- time is not your friend.

You may be tempted to deploy a Prevent Defense, or go into a Box-and-One, to try to run out the clock.

This is a common mistake.
(see Buffalo Bills 1993)

Growing up we knew how to play the game. Then, Analytics ushered in a whole new era.

Looking back on things, you may be thinking replay doesn't lie.

(it can be inconclusive).

--TIMEOUT--

Take a look at your gameplan and make adjustments

Could be you had the first 15 or 20 plays scripted.

But Things have changed.

NOW is actually the time to put pressure on the defense.

OPEN up your playbook.

I am exactly as old as the Super Bowl.
